Gender Dimension of Migration: The Key Challenges Faced by Migrant Women

Abstract

Along with the increasing feminization of migration in the world, dangers and challenges faced by migrant women are constantly on the rise. Often, neither domestic nor international law is providing adequate legal and procedural guarantees for the migrant and asylum-seeking women. Accordingly, it is of critical importance that international migration management addresses the special vulnerabilities and needs of women.
