International Law of Armed Conflict and Animals – LAF contribution to the academic discourse
Dr. Saba Pipia, a Senior Research Fellow of the Academician Levan Alexidze Foundation, publicly presented the outcomes of his scientific research on one of the topics of emerging interest in International Law. An academic article “Forgotten Victims of War: Animals and The International Law of Armed Conflict” was published in the oldest US law review journal devoted entirely to the discussion of legal issues relating to animals – Animal Law Review. Dr. Pipia further presented the research findings at the international symposium Animals in Wars and Disasters; the symposium was organized by the UK based think-tank Global Research Network.
