International webinar dedicated to the World Refugee Day

On 22 June 2021 the Academician Levan Alexidze Foundation in close cooperation with the International Centre for Migration Policy Development in the framework of EU-funded ENIGMMA 2 project will host the Migration Talks webinar

Palestinian Refugees in Europe: Right to Asylum and the European Convention of Human Rights

This joint endeavour is a part of the June 2021 events by the Levan Alexidze Foundation dedicated to the World Refugee Day and to the commemoration of 70 years of the 1951 Geneva Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees.

Representatives of the Levan Alexidze Foundation, Leiden University and Fordham University will discuss the general framework of protection of refugees and asylum seekers under the European Convention on Human Right and will focus on Palestinian refugees in Europe – history, status, legal protection and their right to return.

From the beginning of 2021, the Levan Alexidze Foundation has been dedicating its events that promote human rights and democratic standards to the commemoration of the 95th jubilee of the late Levan Alexidze, a highly respected scientist, professor, public figure, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, founder of the International Law School of Georgia, Chief Adviser to the President of Georgia on International Law Issues, and Member of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences.
